Carol and Nathan Bales move to Crosswinds in 2005. Carol recently retired after 47 years as a master degreed oncology nurse. Nathan retired after 22 years as a licensed massage therapist. We moved here from Austin Texas. We have five children and nine grandchildren. Nathan served on the board for four years and the last year as vice president. Nathan and Carol are both avid Master Gardeners and volunteer at the Arboretum and at the New Hanover County Senior Center where they help maintain the gardens. Nathan has delivered Meals on Wheels for the last 17 years.

Phil has lived in Crosswinds since June, 1995. He is president and owner of Triece & Company, Inc., a commercial real estate firm in Wilmington. In 2007, Phil and wife, Laura, became empty-nesters when their daughter Tracie with hubby Bryan, son David, and daughter Brynn moved out to a nearby subdivision. Their younger daughter, Amanda, married Kurt in 2006; they also reside in Wilmington.

I am relatively new to the community having moved into the neighborhood approximately 2 years ago. I am a registered nurse by trade and am passionate about the stability and well-being of my fellow neighbors. Having been elected to the HOA last year, it has allowed me to have direct input in matters and issues that affect the residents in Crosswinds. I have really enjoyed working with the other members of the HOA and look forward to continuing to serve our great neighborhood!

I’m pretty much a lifelong North Carolinian. My wife (Jerri) and I have 2 children and 5 grandchildren. We moved here in Jan. 1995 from Greenville, N.C. where I was on the ECU baseball team and achieved a BS degree in Industrial Technology. We’ve lived on Crosswinds Drive for 27 years.

I’m now recently retired. Spent close to 25 years in sales (real estate, boating) along with working in the residential construction/maintenance field ever since my early college days. Hobbies include tinkering/fixing things around the house and the love of the outdoor including boating, fishing, clay target shooting, dog training…anything related to just getting outside and enjoying the multiple landscapes we’ve been blessed with here. I also enjoy cooking, especially items on the grill.

Rita relocated to Crosswinds from New York City in 1995. She serves in the capacity of Chairman of the Landscape Committee, and Block Captain. Rita is a retired vice principal and is married to Alfonso, a native of Wilmington. They have four sons.

My wife & I have lived in Crosswinds since 2005. I’m the Owner Of GCBT Martin Inc. & Camgem Inc. and am a retired Merchant Marine Captain. I have been married to Cindy, a nurse, for 56 years, and we have 2 sons, one which lives at Carolina Beach, and one who resides in Richmond Virginia.
